Hey.

It's been a while since I was here last time, but I have some good excuses.
First of all, I've been having lots of things to do with my personal stuff (sometimes I still act like 13-year-old-girl).
Second, I didn't sctually know what this post should be about until I saw my guide from Acropolis Museum which I bought in Athens.

I went with a good friend of mine, Dessy. Greek origin. Black, curled, strong and long hair, black eyes, perfect body proportion.
Yes, I have 9999 lvl in a game called: "Hide Your Jellousy Deep Inside" .  ;P

But let's get to the subject.
We went to the Acropolis  Museum (basically, I made her to go) because I really wanted to see on my own all these monuments and touch a history I've been studying whole my life at school.
and I realised that I know more about her country's history than herself. I was astonished. When I asked why she didn't know more than me, she replied: "Do you know this much about your own history?"
Hmm... Nope. Not even close.
From one hand I felt great, because I finally knew sth more about greek culture than one of them (which always is nice, don't deny it). But from the other hand, I felt so wrong and ashamed that I don't have such knowledge about history of Poland.
Again: Xazo in Greece.

This is my Greek beauty. I do not have any other picture of her unfortunately, It's basically not even from Athens, but from Kos island, but I wanted to show her. This picture reminds me that I should do  next post  about nutrition bahaviours of greeks, which is quite interesting matter as well.
Good night ;)

Virtual rapists .. ;)

Well, here we go.

Blonde in Greece.

Before my flight to Kos, I've heard a lot of  comments, like: "dye your hair in more brown colour, they will rape you there, they love blondes..." Semi-serious, but still ... Stereotypic
And, of course, as more or less educated person I don't belive in such valuating. To be honest,
while being still in Poland I was laughing at this.
I mean, Greece is still in Europe, right (like it makes a difference)? So they are civilised. Or not?

First we saw our flat. Here a little explanation: one apartament contains of one room with two beds, one kitchen with one bed and bathroom. No lighbulbs, no cleaning facilities, no shower tube. And guess who was sleeping in the kitchen...
On the left side we have bathroom door, the white door behind me is to go outside. My roommates (two ukrainian girls) Were placed in another room on your left more in the front (you can't see it on this picture) I lie in my bed here.
We lived with about 50 people in one block of flats - also workers from our hotel. Mostly men in theirs 19's to 40's.

You are probably wondering why I show you details of my accomodation while this post is titled "Virtual rapists". i'll try my best to explain.

First impression

After crying whole first evening about our miserable situation, tired as hell after journey, we (me, Valeria and Lera) decided to go and buy some basic facilities to our new home. At the nearest shop we met some of our co-workers. They were extremely polite offering help - giving us drinking water, changing lightbulbs, giving food.

Did I mention that I'm educated person and I don't belive in stereotypes?

Well, according to my observation, our brain can very quckly adapt to new enviroment but it base its valuating on something we already knew before about this particular enviroment.
And what did I know back then? Only stereotypes...

So first question my suspicious brain asked me was: "Why do they help us?" Why they are giving us stuff for free?". Unfortunately I couldn't resist on asking how much did these things cost because I wanted to pay for them in order to not to have any obligations or debts.

Well, shit.
It was the worst thing i could say. Some of guys went back to theirs apartments, offended. Some of them was laughing with my naive attitude. Significant question was asked: "You really think we are all potencial rapists here?"
And because I'm so honest I answered "Yes". Then.

But now, when I at least know that I know nothing, I would say that greek people, does not matter which sex, are keen to help everybody. In Poland is somebody helps you, it means that he wants something from you in return.

People, please, give up stereotypes! Because even if you think you are beyond them, they are still inside you! Just don't say it out loud. For everybody who doesn't know them yet.
Hi everyone!

First of all I would like to explain a little bit origin of this blog's title.
Well, I'd been in Greece from May to October - This period of time showed me basically only how little we, poles, know about greek culture - So ime xazo - which means "I'm stupid".

Stupid girl without any knowledge about greek culture misleads kebab with gyros, saying that baklava was definately turkish candy and take every greek men as an virtual rapist.

However, one day, she gets a chance to come to beautiful Kos island for a job in all-inclusive hotel....
No, it's not this hotel I was working in, but I wanted to show the path to get to the sea... ;)
